Orientation: New Orleans Workers' Center for Racial Justice / People's Organizing Committee

On Monday we will be having an orientation- it will take the entire day and will include a tour of New Orleans. We will meet at 9:00 AM at Old Pathway Baptist Church located at 1910 Alabo St in the lower 9th ward of New Orleans. We will have students from two undergraduate schools as well as SHN volunteers this week and it will be a pretty big crowd (around 60 people).

Our first day will be together and we are planning to have daily debriefs to talk about your experiences here in the large group, but for your work there will be a variety of activities we have planned. We will not be working conventional hours because we never do, and we expect you would like to make the biggest impact possible for the short time you are here.
